On Wednesday, gold set a new record, surpassing $4,500 per ounce. This increase is driven by expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve will continue to lower interest rates throughout the coming year.
The price of gold reached $4,519.78 for every 31.1 grams, having surged more than 70% since the start of 2025.
Silver and copper also hit new record highs on Tuesday. Meanwhile, platinum reached its highest levels since May 2008.
