Central Bank Unveils Gold, Silver Coins for UAE University's 50th Anniversary

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates has released commemorative gold and silver coins to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates University. This initiative honors the university's five-decade-long commitment to academic and scientific excellence, its role in preparing qualified national professionals, and its contribution to higher education and research.

The front side of the coins features a design depicting the old campus of the United Arab Emirates University, reflecting its esteemed academic status as the first national university in the country. Encircling the design are artistic ornaments and the phrase "Golden Jubilee," along with the university's name in both Arabic and English.

On the reverse side, the coins showcase a design symbolizing the modern educational edifice of the university. Surrounding it is the phrase "Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates" in Arabic and English. These coins, crafted from both gold and silver, each weigh 50 grams.

The limited edition includes 100 gold coins and 3,000 silver coins, all handed over to the United Arab Emirates University. These commemorative pieces will not be available for sale either at the central bank or the university.
