Gold and Precious Metals Prices Drop Significantly

Today, gold prices dropped to their lowest in more than a week, on track for a weekly loss. This decline marks the fourth consecutive session of losses for gold in the spot market.
The precious metal fell by 0.8 percent to $4613.19 per ounce, the lowest level since May 6. Since the beginning of the week, gold has declined by 2.1 percent. U.S. gold futures for June delivery also fell by 1.4 percent to $4619.
In the realm of other precious metals, silver saw a dip of 3.1 percent in spot trading, priced at $80.93 per ounce. Platinum decreased by 1.7 percent, dropping to $2021.75. In a similar vein, palladium dipped 0.9 percent, reaching $1423.75.
